Interview with US Employers in person at our Dublin Job Fair.
When you register and submit your application documents with SAYIT we will give you access to a live J1 jobs database which details J1 employers who have jobs available and a listing of those employers who have hired in previous years.
Before registering you are welcome to read job information tabs below.
As per US State Department Regulations the earliest date any participant can start work is 15th May and the latest date any participant can work is the 15th September. The maximum validity of the issuance of a J-1 SWT is four months (it could be less) and you are permitted 30 days grace period on top of this. You can stay in the US during this 30 day grace period as long as you are home before the date when your university/college classes will commence. You are also only permitted to work and travel in the US within your summer break dates. You will have to enter your university/college summer break dates on your personalised SAYIT J1 account. Please consider these dates carefully as these dates will affect the length of time you are permitted to work and travel whilst on your J1 visa. With SAYIT you can travel from the 15th May and must be home no later than the 15th October (so long as you are within your summer break dates). Same rule applies for final year students.
Once your visa is ordered by SAYIT you will not be able to amend these dates. These dates cannot be changed whilst in the USA.
As of 2016, all J1 applicants are required to have their US job pre-arranged and approved by our US Sponsor before being issued a visa.
