1.       Do I need previous teaching experience to apply?
No, we'll provide you with all the training you need.
2.       Do I need a visa and who organises it?
We can provide you with assistance on your visa application but cannot apply for it on your behalf.
3.       What type of visa do I need?
You need to apply for an 'F' visa, you can find out more details on the application process and cost on the Chinese Embassy website: http://ie.china-embassy.org/eng/
4.       How long does the Internship last?
The internship is for 20 weeks, or one school semester. Once completed successfully you may have the option to extend your stay for another semester.
5.       Where will I be based in?
We cannot guarantee a specific location in China, however if you have a preference we will do our best to accommodate it. You will be advised of your placement region towards the end of your induction week.
6.       How expensive is life in China?
Will I earn enough to cover living costs? In comparison to Western countries it isn't very expensive in China. Your salary should cover your living costs, although this does depend on how often you like to go out and whether you plan to make lots of trips and excursions.
7.       What's the social life like at the schools?
Teaching staff at our schools form a close-knit community, and social life is very much alive. Teachers often arrange trips to other cities and towns especially over the public holiday.
8. Do I need to pay for accommodation?
No, accommodation costs are included in the internship price of €1195, you don't have to pay anything extra.
